Rock Oil’s plans following new MB to DTFR specification changes
As a leading manufacturer of lubricants, oils, and greases, Rock Oil is at the forefront of adapting to industry advancements. The latest significant change involves transitioning from various Mercedes-Benz MB specifications to the new DTFR (Daimler Truck Fluid Release) standards, as well as introducing new DTFR specifications where there are no MB equivalents.
This change follows the division of Daimler AG into Mercedes-Benz Group AG and Daimler Truck Holding AG in December 2021, leading to distinct fluid specifications for each entity.
Rock Oil’s commitment to staying ahead of these specification changes includes updating our product range, such as the TRUCK-GUARD series, ATF, gear and axle lubricants, and specific KOOL-GUARD coolants, to comply with the new DTFR standards.
Each product’s formulation has already been approved per the new spec, and new technical data sheets and labelling reflecting these changes have been produced.
