SYNTHESIS™: the automotive engine oil range
SYNTHESIS is Rock Oil’s flagship range of advanced synthetic automotive engine oils, with options for modern passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
- Reduced-ash formulations: products including C3 5W-30 and SPORT 5W-30 address relevant engine and emissions-system requirements.
- Low-viscosity options: ECO 0W-16 and selected 0W-20 products cover applications requiring these grades.
- Manufacturer-specific requirements: options such as F 0W-30, RN17 5W-30 and AV-BLUE 0W-20 carry their own specifications and recommendations.
Choose the individual product by the engine’s required specification and viscosity. Approvals and service suitability vary across the range.
Engine oils for other applications
CARBON for competitive motorsport
CARBON uses Rock Oil’s Tri-Synthetic technology for competitive racing applications, with grades including 0W-40, 5W-30, 10W-50 and 10W-60.
Application restriction: CARBON products are not recommended for road use in vehicles fitted with after-treatment devices, specifically diesel particulate filters (DPFs).

GEARAXL gear and axle oils
GEARAXL includes synthetic and advanced synthetic driveline oils, alongside mineral EP and limited-slip options. Examples include GEARAXL 75W-90 and GEARAXL S 75W-90 LS.
Cover gearbox, axle and differential servicing, including dedicated limited-slip formulations where the component requires them.
Transmission and specialist fluids
The range includes ATF for automatic transmissions, MTF for manual gearboxes, CVT FLUID and DCT-W FLUID for relevant specialist transmissions. Products such as ALL SYSTEM CHF FLUID and GEARAXL TF 0870 address further vehicle-system requirements.
Transmission-specific formulations support the different requirements of automatic, manual, CVT and dual-clutch systems. Conventional ATF, CVT and dual-clutch fluids are not interchangeable.
KOOL-GUARD coolants
KOOL-GUARD offers IAT, OAT, NOAT and HOAT coolant technologies, with concentrates and ready-to-use products for suitable applications.
The correct coolant technology and dilution support temperature control and corrosion protection. Compatibility depends on the vehicle specification, rather than colour alone.
Greases, aerosols and servicing
Support servicing with greases for the relevant components and aerosols for cleaning, lubrication and assembly. The range includes BRAKE KLEEN, COPPER ANTI-SEIZE, WHITE SPRAY GREASE and DIRT BLASTER.
Bring cleaning, assembly and lubrication into the same workshop servicing programme with practical maintenance products alongside the main oils and fluids.
