- Formulation based on high quality ‘Group II’ base oils in combination with latest salicylate detergent chemistry, which allows significantly extended drain intervals when compared with conventional gas engine oils.

- Low levels of Zinc and Phosphorus to improve catalytic converter life (Phosphorus less than 300ppm), in line with industry requirements.

Description
Gen-Guard Plus SG 40 is a high performance, medium ash engine oil designed to help protect high speed gas engines running on gases of varying compositions from AD Plants, Landfill sites wood chip gasifiers. Gen-Guard Plus SG 40 is also for use in severe service applications which require medium ash oils or where ‘sour gas’ is in use.
Gen-Guard Plus SG 40 has excellent anti-corrosion properties which helps prevent corrosive wear in cylinders, valve train and bearings which helps to extend engine life when operating with a more corrosive gas.
