Applications / Typical Treat Rates

Lubrication of die-sets in hot forging processes of ferric billets where the following requirements exist:

• Long die-life, even where steep draft angles and extensive displacements are required.
• Prevention of billet to die adhesion.
• Accurate filling of dies.
• Prevention of ejector pin seizure.
• Assistance of scale removal from the billets surface.

Forging lubricant 5 – 10% w/w

XL 30 should be diluted with water prior to use. On site trials should be conducted to determine the most cost-effective dilution rate. Experience has shown that dilutions of between 9 & 19 parts water are quite acceptable.

A thixotropic, semi-colloidal, stabilised suspension of high purity graphite in water.

Depending on the product range, Rock Oil products are available in various sizes, including aerosols (where applicable), 12x1L packs, 4x4L packs, 4x5L packs, 20L containers, barrels, 1000L IBC's, and bulk deliveries from 500L to 30,000L.
