- Cooling: The high-water content evaporates rapidly on contact with the hot blades, removing heat and preventing distortion or glass adhesion.
- Lubrication: As the water flashes off, a thin film of mineral-based lubricant remains, reducing friction and enabling smooth, clean cuts.
- Anti-sticking: Specialized additives lower the surface energy of the blades, preventing molten glass from sticking or “stringing,” which improves gob quality and blade life.
- Protection: Corrosion inhibitors guard against oxidation, while emulsion stabilizers prevent deposits and ensure reliable operation in systems using soft to moderately hard water.

It functions by forming a thin lubricating film to reduce friction and by using its high-water dilution to cool the blades and prevent sticking of molten glass. Its mineral-based formulation ensures it is optimised for use in recirculating systems, working best with soft to moderately hard water.
