Havoline® XLC is formulated with patented silicate-free aliphatic additive technology, delivering long-lasting corrosion protection for all engine metals, including aluminium and ferrous alloys. Extensive fleet testing has demonstrated that the synergistic blend of mono- and dicarboxylates in this coolant provides reliable protection for:

• At least 650,000 km (approximately 8,000 hours) in truck and bus applications.
• Around 250,000 km (approximately 2,000 hours) for passenger cars.
• Up to 32,000 hours (or 6 years) for stationary engines.

It is recommended to replace the coolant every five years or when the specified mileage or operating time is reached, whichever comes first. Havoline® XLC offers long-term corrosion protection using optimised, patented organic inhibitors, ensuring excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance for aluminium heat transfer surfaces in modern engines. The inhibitor package also provides superior cavitation protection without the need for nitrite or nitrite-based supplemental coolant additives (SCAs).

Description

This ready-to-use premixed coolant contains a 50:50 ratio of Havoline® XLC and deionised water, providing frost protection down to -40°C.

Havoline® XLC (Havoline® Extended Life Coolant), when mixed with the appropriate amount of water, serves as a cooling and heat transfer fluid in combustion engines. It efficiently transfers excess heat to the radiator, where it is dissipated through airflow. Havoline® XLC is an ethylene glycol-based coolant that offers maintenance-free protection against freezing, boiling, and corrosion. Its advanced, virtually non-depleting corrosion inhibitors ensure an extended coolant lifespan, often lasting for the entire life of the engine or vehicle.
